Professors Tariq Modood and Mark Horton are two of the participants in this week’s edition of Inside Out West.

Tariq Modood, Professor of Sociology, Politics and Public Policy in the Department of Sociology, is one of the participants in tonight's [Wednesday 14 January] edition of Inside Out West, presented by Josie d’Arby, on BBC One.

Professor Modood will comment on an investigation by Inside Out West that has discovered letting agents and employment agencies are still willing to discriminate against ethnic minority groups.

Also featured is Mark Horton, Professor in Archaeology in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, who will look at plans to restore the oldest lido in the country.

Finally, ecologist, Mike Dilger, tracks down the huge Eagle Owl, which has mysteriously made its home within the University precinct.

Inside Out West is broadcast on Wednesdays at 7.30 pm on BBC One. The programme’s website features a complete archive of past editions.
