The children, aged from three to 16, will be joined by 80 student volunteers, a team of face-painters, some unusual creatures from Bristol Zoo and their very own Santa’s Grotto. The party will take place at Churchill Hall, Stoke Bishop, Bristol, from 2 to 5 pm.
Many of the children are from volunteering projects that the SCA help support. Some of the children attending are from lone parent families or are from underprivileged backgrounds. Others have learning difficulties or are young carers who have more than normal amounts of responsibility at home.
The children will also have a disco, games, a bouncy castle, karaoke, a fire engine and police car, and presents (provided by Rolls Royce). The children will also have the opportunity to see some stick insects and other unusual creatures from Bristol Zoo. The afternoon will finish with a tea party and goodie bags for every child.
Jenny Roberts, SCA Co-ordinator, said: “The infamous SCA Christmas Party is set to be bigger and better than ever this year, Santa is ready, all the presents are wrapped and the events team are hard at work. We do the party because it’s always popular and a great chance to give the children a much deserved opportunity to have some festive fun!”
