A recent article in The New York Times features Professor Terence Cosgrove and Clean Gum, the easy-to-remove chewing gum developed through the University’s spin-out company, Revolymer.
The piece appeared in the business section of the newspaper on 26 December and describes how Professor Cosgrove came up with the initial idea – on a trip to some academic conferences in the United States, where he noticed wads of hardened chewing gum on the sidewalks – and highlights a sea change in UK universities’ commercialisation of their research results.
