Professor Marianne Hester from the Centre for Family Policy and Child Welfare has been appointed a Specialist Advisor to the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee inquiry into 'domestic violence'. The committee will sit from January to February 2008.

Professor Hester is Chair in Gender, Violence and International Policy at the School for Policy Studies and a member of the Violence Against Women Research Group. This prestigious appointment recognises her extensive expertise and commitment in this arena.
