LTSS workshops for staff

A summary of November workshops for staff run by LTSS to encourage the use of technology in learning, teaching and research at Bristol.

The Learning and Teaching Support Service (LTSS) offers a programme of workshops throughout the year to University staff, as part of its aim to encourage, enable and evaluate the use of technology in learning, teaching and research at Bristol.

The following workshops are coming up in November:

Using handheld and mobile devices for learning and teaching
This workshop aims to address the issue of the appropriate and effective use of handheld technologies (Personal Digital Assistants – Palm Pilots) in supporting a wide range of teaching and learning tasks.
5 November 2007

Improving student experiences of your Blackboard course
This workshop will involve participants in reviewing their own and other courses against a set of usability criteria, and identifying areas for improvements.
9 November 2007

Further developing your CourseGenie skills
CourseGenie is an easy-to-use system for converting documents to online tutorials, requiring little technical skill other than knowledge of MS Word.
