- Professor Anthony Hollander’s work on creating adult stem cell lines for the treatment of orthopaedic disease;
- Dr Maeve Caldwell’s research into stem cells for possible treatment of Parkinson’s disease;
- Professor Peter Fleming’s study of respiratory muscle endurance in children with neuromuscular conditions;
- Professor Seth Love’s research into the role of neprilysin (an enzyme) in Alzheimer’s disease;
- Dr Andrea Malizia’s work on treatment-resistant forms of depression.
The Trustees of the James Tudor Foundation visited the University recently to meet the researchers concerned. They were also invited to sign the Roll of Benefactors, the University’s highest recognition of charitable giving.
