This unique tour offers an exciting opportunity to see the new Garden taking shape, after the University of Bristol's £600,000 investment into its development, and to see the most impressive collection of plants in the Bristol area. 

The tour will also take in the garden's 4,500 different species of plants from all parts of the world, including rare specimens from Northern Europe, South Africa and New Zealand.  A large aquatic feature will be central to the Garden's design and home to a range of unusual aquatic plants.

There will also be an opportunity to visit the four themed plant collections including a selection of plants used in complementary medicine and a Chinese Medicinal garden.

Nick Wray, Curator of the Botanic Garden said: "This is an exciting opportunity for people to experience for themselves the Garden's growth so far."

As well as enhancing the teaching of Plant Sciences within the University, the  £600,000 investment has provided a unique teaching resource for local schools and a new cultural attraction for the City of Bristol.
