The programme recognises the fastest growing technology companies across Europe, based on three-year average revenue growth and includes 500 public and private companies. Having won the 'Fast 50' preliminary round in the South West & Wales, ATS was the second highest ranked UK company with a growth rate of 2694%.

ATS has developed a new solution for transport in cities and other locations worldwide. Known as ULTra (Urban Light Transport), this development is a 'revolution in public transport' that provides on-demand, driverless travel. An ULTra network has the same capacity as a motorway lane (1800 vehicles / hour), yet uses a quarter of the land and costs 1/10th to produce.

It is widely accepted that the Europe 'Fast 500' programme identifies the trends that are shaping the technology, media and telecommunications sectors today, and so could provide an indication of future success.
