The day gives sixth-formers and others interested in applying to the University to study science or medicine a taste of what Bristol has to offer.
The University has a strong reputation for science, with 19 departments receiving a 5 or 5* rating in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise.
The Faculties of Science and Medicine will be open to visitors from 10am to 3pm on Monday, June 30. Visitors will have the opportunity to look around, talk to staff and students, and find out what it's like to study at Bristol.
Many departments are mounting exhibitions and putting on lectures on subjects including cancer, diet and genes, solar power, and the physics of ice-cream.
Please note: the School of Clinical Veterinary Science, the Department of Experimental Psychology and the School of Dentistry will not be open to visitors during the Science and Medicine Open Day.
