Take your knowledge of Microsoft word processing a step further

People can build on their existing word processing skills at a one-day course run by Bristol University's Institute for Learning and Research Technology on Saturday, March 16.

This intensive, hands-on course, entitled 'Getting Better at Word Processing with Microsoft Word' will enable learners to be taught new shortcuts as well as some more advanced skills offered by Microsoft Word including tables, styles and mailmerge.

The course is taught by an experienced trainer and is planned to give learners as much hands-on practical experience as possible. The course, held in the University's Computer Centre, Tyndall Avenue, runs from 10 am to 4.30 pm and costs £55.

To get the most from the course, learners will need a basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Word software.

Simon Cox, the Adult Education Project Manager for Bristol University's Institute for Learning and Research Technology, said: 'Word is great software but most people don't realise what it can do. We aim to show learners lots of tips and shortcuts during the course, which is instructive, fun and outstandingly good value.'
