New web design and computing adult education courses

Word processing, web design and Internet skills are among a range of new computer courses available at Bristol University from next week.

The courses are aimed both at beginners and at people who want to polish up their computer skills.

All courses are taught by experienced trainers and are planned to give learners as much hands-on practical experience as possible. The courses run as evening classes for five weeks or as one-day Saturday courses. The fees are £55 for the Saturday courses or £60 for the series of evening classes.

Simon Cox, the Adult Education Project Manager for Bristol University's Institute for Learning and Research Technology, said: 'There is a continuing demand from the public for courses of this kind. We aim to make them instructive, fun and outstandingly good value.'
