On watching this video, students should be able to:
- Interpret frequency and bar plots and identify when they are used.
- Generate and interpret contingency tables for exploring the relationship between two categorical variables and justify whether to use row or column percentages to show these associations.
- Identify situation when side by side plots (eg, histograms, box plots) can be used to summarise the distributions of numerical variables by groups or levels of a categorical variables.
- Explain the idea of independence between two variables.
