Prof. Rachel Murray has been involved in a workshop organised by the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria on ‘Capacity Building of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights on drafting of Decisions’. This is a workshop for staff of the secretariat of the African Commission and Prof Murray spoke on drafting of remedial recommendations, drawing upon research funded by the ESRC on implementation of decisions.

The UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNDOC) have published their Issue Paper United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and International Human Rights Law  and can be accessed here. Prof Rachel Murray was part of the Expert Group Meeting (EGM) which brought together experts in the fields of human rights and organized crime experts to contribute to the development of the paper. This Issue Paper informs the future work by UNODC and national policymakers and legislators in implementing the Organized Crime Convention.
