Centre for Law at Work Book Launch: 'Putting Human Rights to Work'

12 May 2022, 4.45 PM - 12 May 2022, 6.30 PM

The Lady Hale Moot Court, 8-10 Berkeley Square

The Centre for Law at Work invites you to join us in celebrating and discussing 'Putting Human Rights to Work: Labour Law, The ECHR, and The Employment Relation’, a book published this year by Oxford University Press by one of our members, Dr Philippa Collins.

The monograph presents the first comprehensive examination of UK labour law from the perspective of the European Convention on Human Rights. It examines the objectives and mechanisms of labour law, assessing whether the latter are capable of giving full effect to the human rights of individuals at work. Find out further details of the book on the Oxford University Press website.

Themes from the book will be discussed by a panel, chaired by Alan Bogg (Bristol, Centre for Law at Work), and including Hugh Collins (LSE), Anne Davies (University of Oxford) and Virginia Mantouvalou (UCL). A drinks reception will follow.

The book launch will begin at 17:00 but please arrive at 16:45.

If you wish to attend this event, please register via Eventbrite.

The event will be hybrid so you are welcome to attend in person or online. You will receive the joining link via your registration confirmation.
