Centre for International Law 'Law in Practice' Session

23 March 2022, 3.00 PM - 23 March 2022, 5.00 PM

Online via Zoom

The Centre for International Law are delighted to invite students to an exciting event exploring how internaional law is employed in practice and how to get into careers in international law.

We are really pleased to have four international lawyers joining us from a diverse background of contexts. During an initial panel, our guests will be sharing how the international law affects their work and how they got into their careers. We will then have a plenary discussion where students can ask the panellists further questions on their work and career path.

We hope this will give students an invaluable insight into careers in international law and how international law affects the world around us.

Our panellists are:

  • Marc Simno Husillos - UNHCR
  • Dima Yared - OHCHR
  • Ben McGrady - WHO
  • Kate Hamilton - FCDO

This session welcomes University of Bristol UG and PG Law students (and University of Bristol students who have an interest in a career in human rights).
