Synopsis for seminar:
Producing quality mathematics education research involves two factors often left unexamined: navigating the role of the self and engaging with others. These factors can motivate researcher’s patience and persistence, while building views of others’ ideas rather than being overwhelmed by them. In this talk Dr. Kastberg will share examples of managing evolving perspectives of self and others in the context of knowledge production in mathematics education.
