The Personal Finance Research Centre was commissioned to conduct an analysis of the Money Advice Service’s (the Service’s) Financial Capability Survey. The aim of this research was to provide a better understanding of the profile of those individuals most at risk of detriment as a result of low financial capability. The Service commissioned the analysis in February 2014 to help inform the early stages of the development of the Financial Capability Strategy for the UK.
