Introducing financial capability skills: a pilot study with Fairbridge West

This report is an evaluation of a pilot scheme run by Fairbridge, a national charity, which aimed to increase levels of financial capability amongst young people who are not engaged in employment, education or training. The evaluation involved interviews with young people, staff and partner organisations at various times over a six month period and some course observations.

The evaluation report provides a valuable description of the financial situation and needs of vulnerable young people. The recommendations from the report are intended to inform a ‘toolkit’ for teaching financial capability across all Fairbridge centres.
