Yvonne Sherratt has written Continental Philosophy of Social Science: Hermeneutics, Genealogy and Critical Theory, from Ancient Greece to the Twentieth Century, Cambridge University Press, 2005 which examines historical and cultural research methods in geography, especially those of historical and textual interpretation, understanding and criticism.
