- Composites CDT hosts STEM outreach day with Sixth Form pupils 6 June 2023 On 18 May, the ACCIS/CoSEM CDTs hosted a STEM Outreach Day for a group of 50 Sixth-Form pupils from Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School in Gloucestershire. Led entirely by the current CDT students, there were four activities that ran throughout the day in rotation, highlighting the exciting opportunities in composites engineering.
- CoSEM CDT student receives ORE Catapult prize 10 May 2023 CoSEM CDT Ph.D. student James Griffith has been awarded the annual Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult prize for the ‘Best Taught Mark in the CoSEM CDT Taught Component'.
- ACCIS CDT student wins Victrex journal paper prize 2 May 2023 Ph.D. student Gianni Comandini has been awarded the annual Victrex prize for the ACCIS CDT ‘Best Journal Paper for the Development of Composite Materials’.
- CoSEM CDT students win Hexcel project prize 2 May 2023 Ph.D. students James Griffith and Christian Stewart have been jointly awarded the annual Hexcel prize for the best CoSEM CDT three-month research project.
