The CAME School was successful at the recent Royal Aeronautical Society Medals and Awards evening.
Eduardo Krupa (PhD Student), Jonathan Cooper, Alberto Pirerra and Raj Nangia won the Gold Award for the best written paper in the Aeronautical Journal for the paper ‘Improved aerostructural performance via aeroservoelastic tailoring of a composite wing’. The Aeronautical Journal, September 2018, Vol 122, No 1255, p 1442.
Eduardo, who recently successfully defended his PhD, was also awarded the Young Persons Written Paper Prize for his work on this paper.
Raj Nangia, currently an honorary researcher in CAME who has worked on projects from Concorde to modern military drones, was also made an Honorary Fellow of the Society.
