20 September 2013

Call for ACCIS DTC PhD Project Proposals

We are pleased to announce that the call for ACCIS Doctoral Training Centre (ACCIS DTC) PhD projects is now open.  We would like to invite colleagues across UK Universities and the industry sector to submit project proposals that will be undertaken in collaboration with the DTC.

Our 13 2012 entry DTC students will each select their PhD projects in December 2013 following completion of the taught element of the programme. The selection of projects is an open and competitive process where students make individual choices based on the information provided via the project proposals. Selected PhD projects will start at the beginning of January 2014 and will be completed by the end of September 2016. Please note that project funding will be required for all industrially supported projects.

Projects will be jointly supervised with a University of Bristol supervisor: one of Giuliano Allegri, Ian Bond, Ian Farrow, Stephen Hallett, Paul Harper, Dmitry Ivanov, Ivana Partridge, Hua-Xin Peng, Kevin Potter, Sameer Rahatekar, Fabrizio Scarpa, Wendel Sebastian, Richard Trask, Paul Weaver, Michael Wisnom.

Details of current PhD projects being undertaken by our students can be found on the DTC website.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal please email Sarah Hallworth to request a copy of the proposal template.

All completed proposals need to be submitted to Sarah Hallworth by Friday 25th October 2013.

Projects will start on 1st Jan 2014
