Brittany Harris awarded Engineering Leadership Advanced Award
Congratulations to Brittany Harris, a current second year MEng undergraduate in Civil Engineering who has recently been awarded an Engineering Leadership Advanced Award at a selection event on 8-9 March at the Royal Academy of Engineering.
The scheme enrols around forty students per year and only the best students are accepted, so the awarding process is very competitive.
The event took place in Birmingham and on the Friday the selected students did some group tasks. This was followed by introductory talks and dinner which allowed the students to network and on the Saturday, the candidates were interviewed.
During the annual weekend event Brittany met Fellows, Sainsbury Management Fellows and other Award holders from her year group and other year groups. Talking about the event, Brittany said “The whole thing is promoted as a networking event and it was. I met some amazing, like-minded individuals and really enjoyed the whole experience. I really look forward to the next stage and planning what to do with the support.”
