The World’s First 5G Music Lesson with Jamie Cullum

The University of Bristol’s, Smart Internet Lab and We The Curious were involved in a landmark event - The world’s first music lesson with Jamie Cullum delivered using brand new 5G technology and the Smart Internet Lab’s 5GUK Test Network, and kindly hosted by We The Curious, Bristol’s Science Centre.

Jamie Cullum, one of the world’s most exciting, charismatic and energetic musicians, preformed in The Roman Amphitheatre in central London. His newly formed band of amateur musicians performed in Bristol and Birmingham all remotely connected via 5G in a world-first in new technology; a truly life-changing Music Lesson with Jamie.

This event was led by Music for All, locally supported by the University of Bristol’s Smart Internet Lab and We the Curious, along with our project partners, King’s College London, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, EE, Yamaha and the City of London Corporation.

To find out more about the event itself please read the blog written by Prof Simon Saunders on behalf of the charity, Music for all.
