Professor John Grotzinger is involved in several planetary missions most notably as project scientist for the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Curiosity mission. He is a participating scientist for the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) and a participating scientist for the High Resolution Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera, onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO).
