The Inside Track Seminar - Preparing for the Dean of Engineering's International Intern Scholarship Scheme

8 December 2015, 1.00 PM - 8 December 2015, 2.00 PM

1.15 Queens Building, University Walk, Bristol, City of Bristol BS8 1TR

Find out everything you need to know about the Dean’s International Intern Scholarship Scheme.

This scheme links international students with companies in their own (or another overseas) country to get summer internships - then rewards the best internships with a scholarship. Winners of scholarships this year will be talking about their internships and giving tips on making a successful application.

Also hear from the Careers Service about how they can help you to research companies, including creative job search techniques you can use to find an internship.

This seminar will be useful for international (non-EU) students in the Faculty as the scheme is only open to this group.

Bring your lunch.

Download the slides from John McWilliams' presentation (ILO) and Gareth Hughes' presentation (Careers Service).

The Inside Track Seminar series is an informal forum aimed at students to provide a regular opportunity to discuss in an open forum any industry or careers related issues you have. Each week will have a theme, but there will also be the opportunity to bring any other questions you have (e.g. about CVs, job applications, types of industry, internships etc.). Members of staff from the Careers Service and Industrial Liaison Office will be at each session, and each week we will invite relevant guests from industry.
