The Inside Track Seminar on Internships

Question and Answer session with an employer from L-3 Communications on why they take on interns, how to impress in the selection process, what kinds of projects they get students involved in and how to impress employers during the internship itself.

Also hear direct from a Faculty Graduate about what she got out of her internship experience at Arup and why it can be so valuable for students to complete an internship.

Representatives from the ILO and the Careers Service will be on hand to answer any questions about internships, and to give you the inside track on finding an internship and how to make the most of it. Bring your questions!

The Inside Track Seminar series is an informal forum aimed at students to provide a regular opportunity to discuss in an open forum any industry or careers related issues you have. Each week will have a theme, but there will also be the opportunity to bring any other questions you have (e.g. about CVs, job applications, types of industry, internships etc.). Members of staff from the Careers Service and Industrial Liaison Office will be at each session, and each week we will invite relevant guests from industry.
