The University of Bristol Student Union is included under the University of Bristol’s insurance arrangements for some insurances as detailed below:

The Public Liability insurance includes cover for approved Student Union clubs or societies except:

• Clubs which involve use of any craft designed to travel through air or space.
• Clubs which involve any hovercraft, watercraft  or waterborne vessels other than those up to 10 metres in length which are used on inland waterways.

Clubs which must have their own insurance where:

• They are not approved by the SU.
• They involve any craft designed to travel through air or space.
• They involve any waterborne craft or vessel which exceeds 10m in length &/or is used anywhere other than inland waterways.

Members of clubs not covered on the University insurance should ask the club for details of their Public Liability insurance. For clarification on whether the club is approved please contact: bristolsu@bristol.ac.uk
