Insurance for students in University accommodation

Students in University allocated accommodation have basic personal effects insurance provided as part of their accommodation contract. This page gives details of the policy for all University residences.

Personal accident insurance

The University has purchased Personal Accident insurance to cover all registered students whilst: 

• Participating in University or Student Union sport anywhere in the world
• Attending or engaged in other University or Student Union activity

Like all insurance policies there are limitations. This policy is not a substitute for adequate travel insurance.

Student Union activities

The University of Bristol Student Union is included under the University of Bristol’s insurance arrangements for some Student Union activities.
