We ring weekly on a Tuesday during term-time at St. Matthew's Kingsdown
between 19:30 and 21:00. This is usually followed by a trip to a nearby pub for a drink and chat.
All abilities are welcome at practice - we ring anything from rounds and call changes on six and 8, to spliced surprise major.
We also give handling lessons to those who are just beginning to ring.
We also sometimes hold a practice on a Saturday, usually once or twice a term, at
St. John on the Wall.
There is currently no student sunday ringing but for those wishing to ring on a sunday there is city ringing available. This includes the Cathedral
circuit on a Sunday Morning.
We frequently ring quarter-peals (usually before practices or at St. Mike's), as well as the occasional peal!
These are useful in helping members progress with their ringing, or just for general enjoyment! They can also be another excuse to go to the pub!
All students are welcome to go to the 'city practices'.
For more experienced students St. Stephen's on a Monday night and St. Mary Redcliffe on a Thursday night cater for all abilities on 10 and 12 bells.
For learners or anyone looking for ringing on 6, St Paul's Southville practice on a Wednesday night from 19:30 to 21:00.

If you're really keen, it is possible to ring every day!
The society rings numerous peals throughout the year from Plain Bob Minor to Spliced Max.
Most of these are rung by alumni members of UBSCR, but the residents usually ring a couple each year, often for the Annual Dinner in January and to mark
the graduation of members in the summer. Below are a couple of our notable peals.
