Our education system is shaped by the myriad decisions of parents, teachers, and children. Parents’ choices about which school to send their children to; teachers’ choices about which schools to work in; and pupils’ choices about which subjects to study; these are some of the many important decisions which determine the shape of our school system. In this research strand we will use survey instruments, experimental methods and extensive reviews of the existing literature to understand, and ultimately to positively influence, the decisions of these important actors.
