Marketing and Communications is made up of four teams:

These teams support the building of the University's brand and reputation and ensure that the University presents itself clearly and consistently.

If you require assistance on how best to mount a marketing campaign, advice on reaching opinion-formers, or a second opinion on a piece of text, the teams will do their best to help.


The Marketing team provides campaign and project design and delivery, consultation, advice and toolkits, content production and design, and manages the University’s key print materials, including the prospectus. The team’s activity supports student recruitment, protects and enhances the University’s reputation on a local and global level, and contributes to the student experience.

Media and PR

The Media and PR team proactively tells the story of the University of Bristol to a global audience, through the media and the University's own digital channels. As well as acting as the first point of contact for local, national and international media enquiries about the University, the team works closely with academics to promote their research, the University's teaching excellence and the success of its students.

Digital Experience

The Digital Experience team oversees the University’s website and intranet. The team develops and improves content, products and services in ways that are user-centred and measurable.
