"My experience was life changing, a truly phenomenal experience! I really got to see how different the healthcare system is in Zanzibar compared to the UK system and how with very limited resources, the hospital can function to still deliver care and procedures. The staff, the students and the host family were all amazing, attentive to our needs and tried to accommodate us like we are their own family. The experience was eye opening and I got to learn so much about myself, and how I deal with physically and emotionally challenging situations."
