Royal Python skeleton

This is the skeleton of a Royal Python which was prepared at the University of Bristol Department of Anatomy. Pythons are a family of non-venomous snakes that kill prey by constriction method. They are some of the largest snakes in the world. The Royal or Ball python, however, grows to an average of just 4-5 feet in length and is one of the most popular to keep.
