Hosted by the Perivoli Africa Research Centre

Perhaps you have heard of the Africa Charter but are not sure exactly what it means for the University, or how it may impact your own research partnerships? Join PARC for a deep-dive into the principles and aspirations of the Charter – and what they will mean in real terms. We encourage colleagues to come along and ask any questions.

There will be an introduction by Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole,  Secretary General of the Association of African Universities (AAU), and the panel will include:

  • Dr Divine Fuh, Director of the Institute for Humanities Africa (HUMA), University of Cape Town
  • Professor Palie Smart, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor – Global Civic Engagement, University of Bristol
  • Professor Isabella Aboderin, Director of PARC, University of Bristol
  • Dr Eyob Balcha Gebremariam, Research Associate at PARC, University of Bristol
