This event is open to new Principal Investigators (PI) or those wishing to take their first steps into being a PI, and is aimed at those in the West of England region.

The session will include:

• Understanding the PI’s responsibilities in leading the conduct of a study at a research site
• Recognising what makes an effective PI and the importance of effective leadership in study identification, set-up, recruitment and conduct
• Understanding and reflect on the skills and behaviours required to be an effective PI
• Knowing how to access support: you are not alone, help and support is available
