Women In Health: sharing stories in the local community

3 June 2021

As part of celebrations for Elizabeth Blackwell's Bicentenary, we're excited to work with local partners on a new project exploring women in health across local communities and cultures.

Telling local stories

Through hands-on sessions comprising writing, drama and outdoors activities, we will work with young people and parents from the Hannah More Primary School community to explore, recognise and rediscover the roles of women in health across local cultures, languages and backgrounds - and we'll use Elizabeth Blackwell’s story as a springboard for discussion.

The Women In Health project will take place during the 2021 Autumn school term, delivering a half term of after-school sessions for young people and parents in the Hannah More Primary School community.

Thanks to the Temple Quarter Engagement Fund for supporting this project, and our partners for approaching the Institute to explore working together!
