Living in Bristol
Your accommodation will be an important part of your time at University. Not just a place to eat and sleep but a lively community where you will meet friends from all over the world.
It is important to note that there are limited spaces available in University accommodation. Please follow the application dates for your preferred option to ensure that you get a space. If you miss the application deadlines, we will not be able to guarantee you a place.
If you are under 18 at the time of enrolment, you must live in University-owned accommodation, or with a family member or your legal guardian within a reasonable distance of the University, at least until your 18th birthday.
You can choose to live in:
University accommodation
The University has accommodation and residences across campus, and you will live with students from other courses. There will be lots of opportunities to get involved with social and sports activities and drama and music productions.
To find out more about the accommodation application process, please visit our accommodation web pages and follow the information for undergraduate students.
If you would like to live in a single-sex residence, please indicate this on your accommodation application and we will try our best to allocate this.
Private accommodation
If you’d prefer to live in private accommodation, we can support you with this too. You can use our property search tool to find a room. We also offer advice on everything from budgeting to landlords through Bristol SU lettings.
