What is the association between rotavirus vaccination and seizures in the UK.

Several countries have now reported a significant decrease (20->30%) in the rates of seizure presentations and admissions associated with the introduction of rotavirus vaccine.  In the UK we have tried to answer this question using the English Hospital Episode Statistics database but could not see any effect.  This could be because children with seizures are rarely admitted in the UK or it could be that for some reason the vaccine behaves differently.  We would now like to look to see if we can see an effect on attendances to the ED.
