The overall aims of this study are to measure the effectiveness of 4CMenB vaccination against invasive meningococcal disease in Portugal.

This is a case-control study to be performed in all paediatric services of Portuguese hospitals where cases of invasive meningococcal disease have been diagnosed during the study period. Anonymised information will be recorded from cases of invasive meningococcal disease as well as the corresponding controls.
