QET Labs exhibit at this year's UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2023

On 2nd of November, researchers from across QET Labs and the Smart Internet Lab took part in the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2023, held at the Business Design Centre in London.

The event, organised by Innovate UK in partnership with UKRI, was opened by (the then) Science Minister George Freeman MP, who reaffirmed the funding will be committed to the NQTP. With over 60 exhibits and 1000+ in-person attendees, the Showcase is one of the biggest events in the UK quantum community's calendar and takes place annually to demonstrate growing commercialisation of quantum technologies into the marketplace arising from the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme. This year, the focus was off academic research groups with ever more startups promoting their products, in contrast to previous years.

The exhibits we brought to the event showcased work across the Quantum Communications Hub, including demonstrations of Bristol’s Quantum Network and a full-scale model of the quantum enabled satellite to be launched within the coming year. Many of the Bristol based startups were there, with many QET Labs alumni and former colleagues in attendance.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the event, both in-person and organising! We look towards attending, and demonstrating our work, at the 10th Quantum Technology Showcase next year.
