‌After gaining extensive experience in community nursing, Ben specialised in palliative and end of life care. He has held the title of Queen’s Nurse since 2009 in recognition of his ongoing commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.

Ben is currently completing his NIHR School for Primary Care Research PhD studentship at the University of Cambridge. His PhD is investigating end of life anticipatory prescribing (Just in Case drugs) practice and patient, family caregiver and healthcare professionals’ perspectives of this care.
