Congratulations to Dr Trevor Thompson on his progression to Reader in Healthcare Education, Dr Katrina Turner on her progression to Senior Lecturer and to Dr Rachel Johnson on being awarded her GP Clinical Fellowship by the NIHR School for Primary Care Research.

Trevor's progression is a fantastic recognition of his contribution to education across the faculty, including not only primary care teaching but also promoting the teaching of whole person care, complementary therapies, sustainability and medical humanities.  The innovations he has brought to the medical curriculum in Bristol are too many to list here.

Katrina Turner's progression Senior Lecturer is really well deserved, for all her work in leading large qualitative studies as well as her strong contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and management.

Rachel Johnson has been awarded a one year GP Clinical Fellowship from the National School for Primary Care Research, to give her protected time in order to prepare a proposal for an NIHR doctoral training fellowship.
