DECIPHer’s team at the University of Bristol have developed close links with local public health professionals. They hold biannual meetings with public health professionals in Bristol, bringing together Directors and Consultants of Public Health and academics. The aim of the meetings is to build relationships and stimulate opportunities for further research.
The School of Social and Community Medicine also holds a series of seminars on a range of topics related to Public Health.

DECIPHer Research Symposium
16 November 2012, Village Hotel, Swansea
The annual DECIPHer Research Symposium took place on 16 November 2012 at the Village Hotel, Swansea. The symposium aimed to showcase the work of DECIPHer over the last year (2012), and encouraged collaboration between Cardiff University, Swansea University and the University of Bristol. The symposium provided valuable opportunities for staff and PhD students from all three universities to present their research, and for those attending the symposium to discuss their own and others' work with members of DECIPHer.
