Professor Guy Orpen, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research), introduced an event on 24 June to celebrate the University of Bristol’s becoming a member of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme.

Stonewall is a lesbian, gay and bisexual charity, and its Diversity Champions programme is an initiative for employers to support and encourage best practice around sexual orientation. The programme has more than 650 members, including around 75 higher education institutions.

The event also included a talk by Mandy McBain MBE from Stonewall, who introduced the charity and the Diversity Champions programme.
