Memorial service for student climber killed on Ben Nevis

A memorial service is to be held in Bristol Cathedral for 22-year-old Ben St Joseph, the Bristol student killed on Ben Nevis.

A memorial service will be held in Bristol Cathedral on 20 February, for Ben St Joseph

Ben, a third-year medical student who had recently been accepted into the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), died in a  climbing accident on Ben Nevis on 26 January.

His family hope that many of this friends and fellow students will attend the memorial service of thanksgiving and reflection next Wednesday. The service will start at 2pm, although those attending are requested to be seated by 1.45pm.

The family wish for this to be an uplifting occasion and encourage those attending to wear bright clothes and engage in joyful singing. They wish to meet the many people who knew Ben from the OTC and University community.

A collection will be made for Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
