The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law is awarding a Dean’s prize to Farooq Sabri, a second-year student in the School of Economics, Finance and Management, in recognition of his contributions to the Faculty.

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law is awarding a Dean’s prize to Farooq Sabri, a second-year student in the School of Economics, Finance and Management, in recognition of his contributions to the Faculty. 

Farooq’s work as a student representative was recognised in May 2012 when he was shortlisted for the NUS Course Representative of the Year Award. His substantial contributions to the academic life of the School include organising a series of student seminars during 2011-12.

Testimonials from colleagues have noted Farooq’s diligence and enthusiasm in his role as a student representative, describing him as ‘a passionate and committed individual with a natural empathy towards others’ and singling out his ‘unrelenting enthusiasm for improving the educational experience’.
