Media coverage for squid and zebrafish cells inspire camouflaging smart materials

New research that has created artificial muscles that can be transformed at the flick of a switch to mimic the remarkable camouflaging abilities of organisms such as squid and zebrafish was covered by BBC News, Reuters UK and Wired.

Drs Jonathan Rossiter in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Andrew Conn in the Department of Mechanical Engineering have created artificial muscles that can be transformed at the flick of a switch to mimic the remarkable camouflaging abilities of organisms such as squid and zebrafish.
