Julian Hamilton Shield, Professor in Diabetes and Metabolic Endocrinology, was interviewed by BBC Radio 4's PM programme about a pilot trial of a new device, the Mandolean, to treat childhood obesity.
A pilot trial of a new device, the Mandolean, a weighing scale, which measures the rate of eating and fullness and provides feedback, to help children aged 5-11 years change their eating behaviour, was featured on BBC Radio 4's
PM programme on Tuesday 3 April.
The trial will be led by Julian Hamilton Shield, Professor in Diabetes and Metabolic Endocrinology in the School of Clinical Sciences who was interviewed by PM.
