Children of the 90s: more volunteers welcome

15 October 2010

The team behind University’s long-running health research project, Children of the 90s, are looking for more people to take part in their research studies.

The University’s long-running health research project, Children of the 90s (also known as the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, or ALSPAC), is currently researching a wide variety of health problems including cancer, obesity, heart disease and depression.

The project team are looking for more people to take part in the research, which aims to get a better understanding of why people develop various health problems - and to help develop new methods of preventing them.

To be eligible you need to have been born in Bristol or Weston (the old Avon area) between April 1991 and December 1992, or be a parent of a child who was born between these dates.

ALSPAC will compensate you for your travel costs, or pay for a return taxi journey to its premises in Clifton. ALSPAC will also provide you with a voucher to thank you for your time.

If you would like to take part, or would just like more information, please email tap@bristol.ac.uk.
